How many volunteer service hours are required?
• 30 hours of volunteer service is required for a family with one student.
• 35 hours of volunteer service is required for a family with two or more students

What can I do?
Parents may satisfy their volunteer hours in a variety of ways. There are dozens of jobs to be done choose the one that fits your interest and expertise. Helping out with hot lunch, playground supervision, assisting in the office, are examples of what parents may do. Parents should check with the office to find out what is needed. There are ways to help out in the classroom as well. The designated room parent and/or teacher may contact you when needed for supervision on field trips and/or being a classroom helper. Parents may also earn hours by attending PTO meetings and Family nights!

How do I keep record of my service hours?
There is a Volunteer Log Book in the school office. In this log book you will find a sheet with your family name for you to fill in every time you volunteer. Have the teacher you helped sign too.

What if I can’t volunteer?
Parents who are not able to volunteer their time, are asked to make a contribution of $10 per hour for the 30/35 hours required.
