Dear New Horizon School Parents,
Greetings of Peace and Ramadan Mubarak!
On behalf of the faculty and staff at New Horizon School, I wish you and your family a spiritual and rewarding Ramadan and invite you to join us for special Ramadan and Eid activities at our school.
Ramadan is a very special spiritual month all over the Muslim world. At New Horizon, the month is even more special in spirit, as we are living it with our students and the community members. We are proud of our student’s devotion and their attempts to fast, in all its meanings. We are also very excited to have your participation in creating a healthy and wholesome environment for our children.
We believe the month of Ramadan is a great opportunity to teach and practice the pillars of our religion. Hence, our theme of the month will be around fasting, and giving. We welcome the opportunity to teach and practice our religion and enhance our spirituality.
At New Horizon School, we have already started preparing ourselves for this great month. We will have 10 minutes of spiritual time after Zuhar prayer when we will listen to Quranic recitation. Although the children are not obligated to fast before the age of puberty, we believe this is a good time to practice their fasting and learn good habits.
During Ramadan please note that the school will close at 3:15 PM from September 1st to 16th. There will be no after school program/daycare. Please take this in the spirit of Ramadan and make some adjustments with your schedule to pick up your child on time. Thank you. If your child needs daycare and cannot be picked up early please contact the principal.
We have arranged New Horizon Family Iftar Potluck on Friday September 11th. We would like to invite all of you to this special evening. There will be a short presentation by the children.
Please support the school for annual giving. Our goal is to have 100% participation of all parents by the end of Ramadan. Zakat and Fitra donations are also accepted.
May Allah (SWT) give you health and happiness and may you experience a rewarding Ramadan.
